Will Supreme Court Agree that Christian Student Should Be Forced to Cite Islamic Conversion Prayer? | CBN News

I have a belief that is uncommon among Christians about prayer in government-run public schools. Most Christians seem to want prayer back in public schools, but I don’t trust the public school system to lead anyone in prayer. The news story below illustrates why I hold this belief. In a world where Christians can be forced by the public school system to say the Muslim prayer of conversion, I don’t want anyone’s kids to be told to follow the governments’ spiritual lead.
I do want kids to pray more often, but parents should be leading their children in prayer, not the school system.
Four years ago, a Christian high school junior was compelled by her teacher at La Plata High School in La Plata, Md., to recall the Islamic conversion creed – the Shahada – as part of a written assignment. She was required to write the Islamic creed, “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”The World History course also taught that “Most Muslims’ faith is stronger than the average Christian’s.”Caleigh Wood refused to complete the assignment, believing that is it is a sin to profess by word or in writing, that there is any other god except the Christian God.

Bible-pushing Christians open the door for Satanic activity books in Florida schools

Bible-pushing Christians open the door for Satanic activity books in Florida schools.

In a perfect world I would dearly love it if Christianity was taught in Public Schools, but whose? Jehovah’s Witnesses, LDS, Protestants, Catholic.. all believe that they are the truest form of Christianity. And because of the way our constitution is written we would not only have to make room for all brands of “Christianity” but we would have to make room for all other religions as well. I think a much better solution would be for the school system to hand out vouchers and let the parents of the kids choose. So the parents would be endorsing religion, and not the state. Even so our schools should start teaching philosophy again. Teach kids clear thinking and they will be able to figure out what is truth, and what is a lie much easier. Which is a much better method of education  teaching them what to think like they are doing now.
