Thoughts on our Constitution, by President John Adams

United States Bill of Rights Preamble to the Constitution

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Happy Flag Day!

It is so heart warming to see someone who actually loves this country.  Today we have a new breed of American that trash talks
America every chance they get. I can’t help but wonder how they manage to get those words out of their mouth. There are countries where it is impossible to get a clean glass 0f water, where children are forced to be soldiers, countries where you can get thrown in jail for saying negative things about their country. In our country on the other hand people live in relative peace. We have clean water to drink, some of the poorest of our people have televisions, when in other countries they have to dig in the trash cans of others to get food.
Countless people risk their lives to come here everyday. Leaving behind everything they hold dear.
Yes America has it’s troubles, every country does but I am not one bit ashamed to say I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

Star Spangled Banner Lyrics 4th verse

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand

Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land

Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,

And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”

And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Francis Scott Key
