Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. That statement, found at the very end of the passage we are looking at today, describes clearly what the problem is here that James is addressing. The main point is the hoarding of wealth. Once again, the issue is NOT the fact that wealth exists, but the useless and selfish hoarding of it. “Wait,” readers may say; “are you trying to tell me that saving money is wrong?”No, not at all. If fact, God’s Word is clear that the setting aside money for a rainy day and the future is a good thing to do. Never is making provision for ourselves, our families, and our future condemned in God’s Word. Let’s look at that.
