Restore, Confirm, Strenghten, and Establish You

1Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

This has been the toughest time of my life. I would have rather endured cancer again than have dealt with this. Yet in the midst of the greatest suffering that I have ever known, I have received insights that allowed me to grow closer to God. I have begun to forgive a person that the world would say that I have had every right to hate for the past 29 years! I have seen through the behavior of another person to realize as hateful as she was, it wasn’t her fault. If I was in her place, I could have very easily made the exact same error. It also reminded me how much that I need God on a continual basis. He is my anchor that prevents me from crashing on the rocks during the hurricanes of my life. Now more than ever I KNOW that he really can restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
