Loving Sinners

No Christian can embrace sin, but we all must remember Matthew 5:43-57 we must love even our enemies. All people are made in the image of God, therefore all people deserve a certain amount of respect. When someone tells you that they are not a Christian, it is not an excuse to back away slowly and act like that person doesn’t exist, we are to love them, pray for them, and give them the reasons why we are one. When someone comes out as gay or transgender, our relationship may have to change, but it isn’t an excuse to stop loving them,  Even in the most severe cases when you do have to remove yourself from their life, like finding out that someone is a child abuser, and you have a child in the home you still have to pray for that person. It breaks my heart when I hear stories about people getting rejected by friends and family members.
