Pray for our leaders

3

I Timothy 2:1-4   First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, 2 for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, 4  who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

It would be easy to rail against our leaders, instead of praying for them. They do not seem to be good people from where many of us sit. We must however remember that the leaders being spoken about were a pretty evil lot too. They crucified Jesus! You can’t get any more evil than that, but yet we are supposed to pray for them anyway. I am not a big fan of many politicians, but I must spend more time praying for them. I believe that you should too.
